NOKIA TO CONCENTRATE RESEARCH
AND DEVELOPMENT SITES

At Helsinki area, research and development sites were to remain in Tampere, Oulu, and Solo. To adjust production with market demand, Nokia reduce production at its Solo plant by introducing temporary lay-offs on a rotational basis.
